ABOUT ME
Radio PlayWright and Columnist
My first Radio Play 'The Saxon Conquests' was broadcast in May 2015. Further short plays followed including 'The Play's the Thing' 'Trouble in Toyland', 'Run Rabbit Run' and 'Gift Horse'.
In December 2016 I contributed sketches, 'Sat Nav', 'A Commercial Break' and 'Culture Corner' to the new sketch show Zig Zag. The stage play 'Corsets and Courtesans' based on the works of Plautus was staged in 2021
I continued to write plays and satirical sketches for ACE Radio Players that are broadcast monthly on Meridian FM
January 2017 saw me take the role as a regular columnist to 'Pension Age Magazine' writing under the Tagline of 'Murmurings of a Pension Trustee' that now continues under the auspices of Association of Member Nominated Trustees (AMNT) following my election to their Committee.
I was born in Nottingham before moving to London aged 20 where my whole working career was in Banking, mainly retail. I worked through the IRA London City bombing campaign of the 1970's and the Secondary Banking Crisis. I even survived the 2008 crash. I was an active Trade Unionist during this time firstly in BIFU, then Unify and finally Unite. I retired in 2013 and started to write seriously.
Current living in Sussex with my wife of 37 years, in my spare time I enjoy cricket and still regularly play for Lingfield Cricket Club
